I was born in a small town in Idaho and grew up in the Pacific Northwest. I attended Oregon State University and met my beautiful wife Kym. We had a daughter, Tressa, and moved to Philadelphia in 1989, where I attended graduate school at Temple University. A few years later, my son Jake joined the family and we moved back to Eugene, OR. I worked as a designer for about a decade before deciding to teach full time. That brought me to Bowling Green KY, where I've been teaching at Western Kentucky University and making art since 2000. When I'm not creating art, I enjoy skateboarding, cutting firewood, fishing, and spending time with my family.
